SUSANNA POPOVA APPOINTED EDITOR IN CHIEF OF MODERNA TIDER Today the Board of Directors of Moderna Tider appointed Susanna Popova editor in chief of the Swedish magazine Moderna Tider. "I see this as a chance to play a part in broadening public debate in Sweden," says Susanna Popova, explaining why she agreed to succeed Göran Rosenberg. During the past three years, Popova has worked on the editorial staff of the Swedish daily Svenska Dagbladet. She has also attracted attention for her contributions to the public debate on various social issues. She previously worked for the Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter and as a political journalist for the Kristdemokraten newspaper. Popova is a trained psychologist who began working as a free-lance journalist in 1983. She co-authored Konsten att skapa problem: JämOs kamp mot sexuella trakasserier (The Art of Creating Problems: The Equal Opportunities Ombudsman's Struggle against Sexual Harassment), a report that attracted much attention, and contributed to the anthology Borgerlighetens val (Choices for Sweden's Non-Socialist Bloc). Göran Rosenberg has been at the helm of Moderna Tider since its launch in 1990. After almost a decade as editor in chief, he will now take on new journalistic assignments, some within the Modern Times Group. The Board of Directors of Moderna Tider also announced today that the magazine will be transferred from Industriförvaltnings AB Kinnevik to the Publishing business area of Modern Times Group AB.
