MTG COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF 50% OF CZECH MEDIA GROUP

Modern Times Group MTG AB, the international broadcasting group, today announced that it has received the necessary approvals from the Czech Office for the Protection of Economic Competition regarding its acquisition of 50% of the issued share capital of GES Media Holding a.s. (“GMH”) in the Czech Republic. GMH owns 100% of TV Prima, which is the second largest national television channel in the Czech Republic. MTG has now completed the transaction and will consolidate the operation’s results from 1 November 2005.
