FINANSTIDINGEN IS FASTEST GROWING DAILY NEWSPAPER IN SWEDEN FINANSTIDINGEN WAS THE FASTEST GROWING DAILY NEWSPAPER IN SWEDEN IN 2000, ACCORDING TO STATISTICS RELEASED TODAY BY TIDNINGSSTATISTIK, TS. THE NEWSPAPERS CIRCULATION GREW 58.4 PER CENT IN COMPARISON WITH PREVIOUS YEAR, REPRESENTING A JUMP OF 10,100 COPIES. According to TS, Finanstidningen, had a circulation of 27,400 during year 2000 compared with 17,300 for the previous year. Finanstidningen is part of the Publishing business area within Modern Times Group MTG AB. The business area is focused on the work that was started in 2000 of providing financial services news. Included, in addition to Finanstidningen, are the website finanstidningen.se, the monthly publication Kapital, analyst meetings through financialhearings.com, and TV 8. The magazine Moderna Tider and publishing company Brombergs Bokförlag are also part of the business area. Moderna Tider had a record increase during 2000 when the circulation grew to 18,600 in second half of 2000, from 9,600 in first half, representing a jump of 93.7 per cent and an average circulation of 13,600 for the full year. No comparison with the previous year is available, as Moderna Tider did not participate in Tidningsstatistisk's surveys.
